     Shelley lives in Toronto, Canada with her partner, Joseph, and has been working in the Child Care field for 24 years. She graduated from Seneca College with her Early Childhood Education certificate in 1974 and then
earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in psychology at York University through night studies and graduated in 1982.

      Shelley has many years of teaching experience with children 2 through 10 years old and for the past 18 years has supervised a non-profit day care center with 58 children aged 18 months through 9 years and a staff of 12. She is active in her community, advocating politically on child care funding issues and participates in her Child Care Administrator's
Network.
